3 part workshop where Vishal will bring the campaign to NHS staff, highlighting what evidence means for them and their service.

Anthony Warner: Asking for Evidence at the Food and Drink Federation

22nd October 2019

Anthony will bring the campaign to the Food and Drink Federation highlighting the importance of food science communication.

Emma Friedmann: Ask for Evidence Community Conference

15th October 2019 - 7:30pm-9:30pm - Attenborough Arts Centre, Leicester, LE1 7HA

Emma Friedmann will join members of the community involved in the use and understanding of evidence to discuss how reading and challenging a variety of material aids campaigning.

Emma Friedmann: Ask for Evidence workshop at Everybody's Reading 

15th October 2019 - 1pm-3pm - Leicester Centre for Integrated Living, LE3 5PA

A workshop to encourage people to Ask for Evidence when presented with information that impacts their lives. The centre has full disability access including hoist changing facilities.

Anthony Warner: University of Nottingham

15th October 2019

Anthony will be visiting students at the University of Nottingham to tell them how they can get involved in the Ask for Evidence campaign

Richard Caie: SHMU radio

25th September 2019 - 2pm

Anthony Warner: Ask for Evidence at the Vegan Society

19th September 2019

Anthony will be encouraging the Vegan Society and its members to Ask for Evidence on claims about food and diet.

Edward Chapman: Penzance Business Breakfast

12th September 2019  - 8am-9:30am The Exchange, Princes Street, Penzance, TR18 2NL

Being able to back up claims made in promotional material with good evidence is important and could help businesses. As well as inviting local businesses to ask for evidence Edward will also explain how to judge the worth of the evidence referred to in responses.

Ana Yong: Science Matters at Speen Festival 2019

Ana will join Speen’s very own Professor Stickings as he hosts a panel and audience discussion on matters scientific including the Ask for Evidence campaign.

Alex will be joining the Thyroid Trust for a walk from Broadstairs to Ramsgate to walk and talk about the Ask for Evidence campaign and how they can get involved.

Haafizah Hoosen: Festival of Research, Isle of Man

Research Vannin is dedicated to celebrating all things research, bringing together those  doing it, planning it, or engaged in it. Haafizah will be there bringing Ask for Evidence to the Isle of Man for the first time!

Edward Chapman: Heartlands Business Networking Breakfast

2nd July 2019 - 9am - Heartlands, Dudnance Lane, Redruth, TR15 3QY

Edward will explain the benefits of asking for the evidence to back up claims made by suppliers, marketers, politicians and in the press. He will also explain the benefits of being able to back up any claims your business makes with evidence, how to assess the credibility of evidence and what to do if it is lacking.
