Innovations in Clinical Trial Registers
Sunday February 15th, 1PM – 2:30PM
Room LL21A (San Jose Convention Center)
The recently launched AllTrials campaign calls for all clinical trials to be registered and results reported. It has prompted government bodies and research funders to implement measures to address this and some pharmaceutical companies have committed to sharing individual patient data from past trials. There is an unprecedented opportunity to refine how clinical trial data are shared and linked. Experts in this session will discuss the strengths and weaknesses of current registers and new approaches being taken by industry.
Moderator: Síle Lane, Sense About Science
Deborah Zarin, National Institutes of Health, ClincalTrials.gov
Anita de Waard, Elsevier
Giorgio Ascoli, George Mason University
Frank W. Rockhold, GlaxoSmithKline
