Ask for Evidence at the European Skeptics Congress

Newspapers, politicians, celebrities and companies are good at making claims about what is best for our health, for our environment, and for our schools. Some of these claims are supported by reliable evidence, but many aren’t. We can get behind the voice of reason and rigour if we Ask for Evidence.

This weekend, Dr Chris Peters from Sense About Science will be speaking about the Ask for Evidence campaign at the European Skeptics Congress in London.

Hear a bit more about the Ask for Evidence campaign on the Good Thinking Society’s European Skeptics Congress podcast.

Other talks at the congress will be tackling topics as varied as the portrayal of complementary medicine by the media, the psychology behind conspiracy theories, and false memories, so it is sure to be an entertaining and thought-provoking event.

More information about the event, including how to get hold of tickets, is available on the congress website.

When? Friday 11th September to Sunday 13th September 2015. Chris’s talk will round off the congress at 11.30am on Sunday.

Where? University of London’s Goldsmiths College, New Cross, London, SE14 6NW
